The Oaks Lakes hits the front page of the local News Papers with the first Electrical Vehicle Charger to the area.

We thought we would help bridge the UK Charging point infrastructure as currently there is a huge gap between York and Middlesbrough along the A19 known by electrical vehicle owners as the Yorkshire Gap. We don't want visitors to the area to miss this beautiful piece of Yorkshire due to lack of Chargers and hope to encourage other North Yorkshire businesses to add them.

We have placed the charger in the Caravan Park as we would like it to be used by all electrical vehicle users who visit the area and with the first all electric motorhome launched in October 2014 and on sale in 2015 we thought it would be the best place for it.

Details about the charger: 32amps with a type 2 socket - £2.50 per charge - Open 7am until 7pm the vehicle must be unplugged by 7pm (unless you are staying on the Caravan Park)
